Having successfully launched their first school in February 2017, Pingu’s English Myanmar have since established a great reputation for delivering high-quality pre-school education among families in Yangon under the Pingu’s English brand.
Building on this success, they are launching a new school in the Dagon area of downtown Yangon and their first school in Mandalay, whose official launch took place on Saturday, 8th June.
All schools deliver both the renowned English Language programme for children aged 18 months-8+year olds and the new innovative International Kindergarten curriculum for 2-6 year olds.
The latter is already well established in Yangon and more than 20 countries worldwide with a heavy presence in the ASEAN region, including Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia and Indonesia.
The 30-hour a week groundbreaking curriculum, written in cooperation with Kingston University London, is at the cutting edge of early years curricula, delivering tangible results by using child-centred and play-based philosophies.
Mr Bryan Yen, CEO of Eduworld Co. Ltd. and Master Licensee of Pingu’s English Myanmar, said:
“This is the beginning of our third year of operations in Myanmar and we are very pleased to be opening two new schools – one in Yangon and one in Mandalay.
This is only possible due to the very positive feedback we have received from parents and, most importantly, the outcomes of our students over the past two years.
“We hope to provide quality education and educate more children over the next few years in Yangon, Mandalay and other major cities in Myanmar.”
Ms. Lucy Mills, Business Development Manager at Pingu’s English Head Office, congratulated the team, saying:
“To help their launch and support them reach the stage they’re at now, Pingu’s English Head Office delivered comprehensive teacher, sales, business and marketing training in-country, so it’s very exciting to see our Master Licensee’s take the next step in growing the Pingu’s English network in Myanmar. Despite having no previous experience in the education sector, their drive and passion for the Brand, combined with the fantastic high-quality products and materials, have proved to be a winning formula in Myanmar.
I am privileged to have personally witnessed the positive impact our products are bringing to the children of Myanmar and it’s fantastic to know many more children will now have the opportunity to learn with Pingu’s English too.”
Commenting on the news, Ms. Debora Mondella, Head of Marketing (Brand and Digital) at Pingu’s English Global added:
“Our team in Myanmar is one of the most successful franchisees for Pingu’s English. Their success is also due to the fact that they deliver the brand experience effectively, through excellent customer service, engaging classes and activities, and, most of all, through a consistent approach with the brand values and identity.
“This is not only due to the brand’s strong global reputation, but also because of the products’ adaptability and how it has been tailored to the country. The ability of the Pingu’s English business to adapt to the market, while maintaining the quality of a UK education, along with the tremendous talent and hard work of the Myanmar team have expanded the potential for huge growth even further.”
